Bodie Island Lighthouse Lamp

The present Bodie Island Light is the third lighthouse structure to be built on the site near Oregon Inlet. Constructed of brick in 1872, its tower rises an impressive 163 feet to allow its flashing beacon to be seen 19 miles into the Atlantic Ocean. Overall lamp height is 24".
